my fascination with hexagons

Hexagons are nature's most efficient shape. They occur naturally in all kinds of environments, from cracks in clay to beecombs, and the way that lava solidifies in columns. If you pay close enough attention you will find them everywhere.
Most interesting, I think, is the fact that many of our neuroreceptors are represented by hexagonal forms and structures. Many chemical compounds are represented with hexagons as is our established nomenclature, and I find it fitting that they are the building blocks of our physical world.
I'm so taken by the form that I've incorporated it into a lot of my works.
